Stat. 19.84, the Election Inspectors will convene as the Local Canvassing Board for the purpose of conducting the local canvass pursuant to Wis. Stat. 7.51. This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.81-89.   PUBLIC NOTICE of PUBLIC TEST OF VOTING MACHINE AND IN-PERSON ABSENTEE VOTING Pursuant to Wisconsin Statue 5.84(1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Leon will hold a public test of the electronic voting equipment at the Leon Town Hall, 8108 Jackrabbit Ave. Sparta, on Wednesday March 27, 2024 from 5-7pm. The test is open to the public and is being conducted for the Spring Election on April 2, 2024.   Voting an absentee ballot in person If you wish to vote an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office, bring acceptable photo ID to the Town Hall on Wednesday March 27, 2024 from 5-7pm..  The municipal clerk will deliver voted ballots returned on or before Election Day to the Town Hall to be counted before the polls close on April 2, 2024. Any ballots received after the polls close will not be counted.
